The Great Resignation

I heard this phrase for the first time this week - I know, I must be a boomer - when I was looking at my RSS feed - there I go again showing my age. I came across a blog at Semi Engineering that talked about the talent crunch facing the Microelectronics industry . We obviously are seeing this across all industries today including my current one (marketing and advertising), post the pandemic and it has become very difficult to hire and retain people in this environment. That said, this topic has been discussed ad nauseum in the past few months and I didn't really want to get into why/where/how - we all know. A Google search comes up with more than 100K results if you just type in the Great Resignation.  I was curious to find where this term originated, and lo and behold, it was coined by an associate professor of management at Texas A&M, my alma mater. In the years past, no one at A&M has coined anything that went viral across the world, at least not that I know of. But boy
